Tuning to TVHB in the Digital TV age USE THE DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL DECODER TO TUNE TO DIGITAL & ANALOGUE CHANNELS Flat-screen TV's today contain a Digital Terrestrial Tuner. To tune into a Digital Terrestrial Channel simply connect the UHF aerial to the input and press 'search'. You may search on Digital Only or Analogue & Digital. Television Hawke's Bay broadcasts to the region on UHF channel 51. This signal can be found at 711.25 MHz.The signal is transmitted from Mount Threave, near Paki Paki south of Hastings. It reaches north as far as Mahia and south to Waipawa and Waipukurau with the assistance of a signal booster. Consult the operating manual for your TV set or video recorder for tuning instructions specific to your model. This will tell you how to find and store new channels.
